A former sales representative is due to receive $585,000 for his role in filing a whistleblower lawsuit against American Systems Corporation, Anixter International Inc., and Corning Cable Systems LLC.
This False Claims Act case included allegations that the defendants violated the Anti-Kickback Act by improperly providing gratuities to CIA employees and others in order to influence contract specifications that would favor the three companies in the award of a contract with the CIA.
As a result of the information provided by the whistleblower, the U.S. taxpayers will recover $3 million through the settlement in this case
